Professor Gary Gaile passed away on Friday, the 13th of February. He was 63 years old. Gary was a great geographer and a fine human being. He touched us with his whimsy, his humor, and most of all, his warmth and decency. Gary embodied, in many ways, the spirit of this department. He will be greatly missed here and around the world.
