Research Interests

Understanding how space/place and occupation are engaged in a co-constitutive relationship by investigating Mexican migrant foodways in the Philadelphia Metro Area. I'm also interested in the formation of transnational/translocal identities, and the various ways in which migrant adaptation results in differing health outcomes.

More Info

Prior to academia I worked in healthcare as an occupational therapist in the inpatient acute care setting working for various health systems, such as Virginia Mason Medical Center and University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA, and Boulder Community Health and UCHealth in the Denver Metro region. When not busy with research, teaching or providing patient care, I enjoy playing music, cycling around town, cooking food, being outdoors, making memes and cultivating a community that centers care and joy in each other's lives.
