Mart 125, formerly located in the heart of Harlem, was an indoor marketplace housing African vendors from all over the Diaspora. Originally developed by government agencies to remote street vendors in the mid-1980s, it was forced to close in 2002. This film provides historic analysis of the "revitalization" of 125th St, Harlem's historical example, landmark, and a window that has revealed a land conquered.

Brought to you by CU Boulder's Geography Honor Society (Gamma Theta Upsilon) and United Government of Graduate Students.
