Sebastian Wetherbee, Rachel Dorencz, Kelly Russo, Catherine Archer, Ann Weinheimer, Joshua Temes, and Eva Coringrato have either joined or have been invited to join the Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Colorado. Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest and most prestigious academic honor society founded in 1776. Phi Beta Kappa alumni include seventeen U.S. Presidents, 38 Supreme Court Justices, and 136 Nobel laureates. Mark Twain is an alumnus. Being a member helps students network with distinguished scholars and professionals around the country and the world. Selection is based on a student’s outstanding academic achievement as an undergraduate at CU Boulder, high standards of personal conduct, and academic integrity in the College of Arts and Sciences. Fewer than ten percent of arts and sciences graduates at CU Boulder are selected for Phi Beta Kappa membership.
